Almond Orchard Experience

In Madera, California with The California Almond Board touring Travaille & Phippen, Inc.'s beautiful almond orchard.

Almonds on the branch

Fruit from the almond tree contains the hull, shell and kernel. All three parts of the fruit are used.

After they fall

After the tree "shaker" has done it's job, all the almonds fall to the ground and get scooped-up for shelling and processing inside the factory next door.
